Gary Arthur Drage of Canmore, passed away on December 22, 2023 at the age of 80, 12 days short of his 81st birthday. Gary was born in Toronto where he started his career and met his wife Nancy. Gary had two potential callings, teaching or banking. Banking came calling first, and he spent 40 years in financial services, the majority of his career with Bank of Montreal. He transferred with work often while building his career, around Ontario, then to Calgary, and finally to Canmore where he worked and lived for the last 30 years. A lifelong learner, Gary was a fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. After leaving banking he served on Canmore Town Council for four years and ran his own consulting company. He also believed in giving back and was a member of The Rotary Club for over 25 years. He always enjoyed a scenic road trip and visited every state in the United States and most of the provinces in Canada.
Survived by his wife of 57 years Nancy, four children Brian, Janet,
John (Carrie), and Rob (Melissa), and three grandchildren Ever,
Zarah, and Jaxson. He was predeceased by his parents and loving sister Sandra.
