Gail Gernat (Frazer)
The Gernat family announces with deep sorrow her passing on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the age of 69 years. Gail is survived by her loving husband Norman Gernat, her beloved children Jeremy (Angela), Daniel (Rhonda), Matthew (Joani) and Tabitha (Jason). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Brianna, Grace and Colten and her brother Robin (Cindy) Frazer. Sister in law Joyce Frazer. Also left to mourn are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Gwendoline Frazer, her brother Richard Frazer and her sister Brenda Frazer.
Gail was born and raised in Kirkland lake. She grew up enjoying the outdoors and formed a lifelong connection with nature. She enjoyed learning about plants, flowers and vegetables growing them abundantly in her gardens. She also loved animals of all kinds, having many loved pets through the years.
She was known for her strong love of family and friends, always making time to care for the needs of those around her. Early in her life she developed a strong love for her creator Jehovah and was a faithful servant till her passing. She enjoyed teaching others about the Bible and studying it herself.
She married the love of her life and raised a family in northern Ontario calling Matheson home for the last 40 years. She enjoyed passing the time writing, painting, carving and playing with her grandchildren. Along the way touching many peoples lives in a special way. All who knew her will sorely miss her. We will long to see her again when all is made new.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Timmins Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1340 MacLean Dr. at 2:00 pm. A Zoom conference will also be arranged for the same time, please contact the family for details or email gailgernat.funeral@gmail.com for zoom information. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Watchtower Bible Tract Society of Canada or the Cancer Society of Canada. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
