It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gail Wilson. Mother of Laura and Kevin Wilson, grandmother to Bentley and Cooper Maynard, daughter of Earl and Monette Teddy, sister of Todd, Glenn, Ann and Lynn Teddy.
Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario she moved to London, Ontario in 1978 where she studied Nursing at the University of Western Ontario. Following her time at Western she moved to the city of Toronto to further her education at the University of Toronto. She joined St. Michael’s Hospital in 1998 and held many different roles during her time at the organization, most recently the Senior Director of Practice Informatics. She took great pride in her work for the hospital and had a major impact on not just the organization but on the lives of many of her colleagues, who became some of her closest and dearest friends.
The impact Gail had was not limited to her professional career. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She applied her relentless work ethic to her family providing a loving and caring home. She enjoyed nothing more than hosting holiday meals for her family and spending time with those she loved. She did everything in her ability to make sure that everyone was taken care of and never wanted for anything.
Gail’s life was one of hard work, dedication, and kindness. She always aimed to improve herself through education, and never passed up an opportunity to grow in her career. Even though she took on many responsibilities she was never too tired to spend time with her children or grandchildren. Gail’s memory will live on in the lives of all those who met her, and she will be missed immensely.
A celebration of life will be held at Morley Bedford Funeral Home at 159 Eglinton Ave W. in Toronto on June 6, 2024, between 5:00-7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Unity Health Toronto.
