It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Gail Wattie on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Villa at the age of 73. Loving mother of Christphor Flaro, Leonard “Buck” (Leeann) Flaro and Donna (Michael) Aylott. Grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 1. She is survived by her siblings Mike (Wilma) Wattie, Fred Wattie, Georgina (Herb) Flaro, Irene (George) Brown, Veronica Sayeau and Theresa (late Rick) Bowman. She will be sadly missed by her kindred spirit Joanne (Richard) McPhee and their daughter Melinda Summers. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Vincent and Nora Wattie (née Proulx) and brother Keith Wattie.
As per Gail’s request cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street (613-938-3888). A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church on Friday March 15th at 11am. Interment of Gail’s ashes will take place in the spring at St. Columban’s Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca
