Obituary
It is with sadness that the family of Gail Crouch announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday September 13th, 2023 at Hospice Quinte at the age of 69. The family is thankful that she has finally earned her rest after a courageously fought battle. Gail is predeceased by her parents Roy & June Crouch, her brother Barry Crouch and her sister Betty Barker. She is loved by her siblings; Cindy Powell (Todd Eldershaw), George Crouch (his dog Charlie), Jamie Charette (Ron) and her brother in law Allan Barker. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews; Jennifer Powell, Lacy Hunt (Don), Robert Barker (Melody Johnston), Ron Sweet (Melissa Wannamaker), and her great nieces; Madison Coates Sweet (Trevor Giampieri), Olivia Parks, Wes Sweet, Alliyah Bleecker and Jorja Borden. Gail was born and raised in Trenton but spent most of her life in Toronto. She enjoyed crafting. Her family is proud of her work and accomplishments in advocating for women’s equality and rights. Gail assisted in lobbying the government of Ontario to allocate funds to train women in trades and because of this she was able to graduate from college as a wielder. Thanks to Lise Leduc for her wonderful loving friendship with Gail, Kenna Bowman for her companionship and love to Gail and PSW’s Kelly Stapley and Melissa Rightmeyer for your wonderful care for Gail, you made a difference. Thank you to Paramed, Kelly Roper, Dr. Gow, Hospice Quinte, Petra Lepage, Parry Simard and the care and love of the PSW’S and nursing team at Hospice. In respecting her privacy and wishes, the family will celebrate her life privately. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Quinte or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
