TOMORI, Frank Eli – Surrounded by the deep love of his family, Frank passed away on Thursday, January 18th, 2024 at the Welland Hospital at 68 years of age. Beloved husband of 33 years to Sandra, and devoted father of Aja and Bianca – and his soon-to-be son-in-law, Julian Muia.
He now peacefully joins his parents Edward and Ljubica (Violet) Tomori, his sister Gayle Tomori, his mother-in-law Claudette, and sister-in-law Maria Luz Fabiano.
Frank’s unique humour, colourful stories, and cherished memories will be passed on by his loved ones and lifelong friends. He will be deeply missed by his first cousin and great friend Michael Labeau, his nieces Tanya and Miley, his great-nephews Sandor and Eli, his father-in-law Tony Fabiano, and brother-in-law Tony Fabiano Jr. (Rogelyn).
Frank’s diverse talents and abilities knew no bounds. A decorated athlete who represented Canada in the 1972 Munich Olympics, Frank’s athleticism allowed him to travel the world and bring pride to his hometown of Welland, Ontario. In addition to his gift for sports, Frank was also celebrated for his successful entrepreneurial ventures throughout the years. Moreover, Frank’s lifelong love of music and the arts made him a fascinating lexicon of fun-facts and trivia, that he loved to share with his family and friends.
The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, January 26th, 2024 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Frank’s love for animals began in his childhood with his dogs LaMont, Willie, and Queenie – and most recently surrounded by the love of his cherished cats Koko and Harrison. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Niagara SPCA & Humane Society niagaraspca.com/ would be greatly appreciated by the family at this time.
