It is with heavy hearts that we, Nicole
Léger, and Gary Doucette, announce the passing of our son,
François Léger, 41 years old.
François was intelligent and very active; he loved the
outdoors, off-roading in his Jeep and working in Carpentry.
He loved to tell stories. In his stories, he saw it all and
did it all. Unfortunately, François struggled
with drug addiction throughout his life. He had a hard time
coping with the outcome of a Motor Vehicle Accident eight years ago
which left him a quadriplegic.
The happiest day of his life was when his son Kodi
(11 years old) was born. François was at his best
when fathering Kodi, whom he simply adored. He had a special
and amazing relationship with his grandmother, Anna
Léger. We will never be able to thank her enough
for the patience, care and especially the love she showed
François throughout his life and especially during these
last painful few years. He admired her and we will forever
be grateful to have her in our lives.
François is also survived by his father,
Yvon Cormier (Michelle); his sister, Adèle Cormier
(Rémi Fournier), his paternal grandmother, Doris Cormier,
as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. We are very thankful
that his godfather, Pierre Léger (Monette) were able to be
there during his last hours.
To the Doctors and nursing staff on unit 4E at the
Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, we thank you for the care provided over the
last two months.
We hope you can ditch the wheelchair, the pain and
hug big up there.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé
(506-577-3297) where the funeral service will be celebrated on
Wednesday April 26 at 3 pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday April 26 from
2 to 2:50 pm. Interment will be at
Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila cemetery in
Cap-Pelé.In lieu of flowers, a donation to the
Cap-Pelé Knights of Columbus Lunch Box would be
appreciated.
