It is with a heavy heart that on March 26, Francis Andal, age 76, passed away in Calgary, AB.
Francis peacefully passed with his wife Sharon and two sons, Aaron and Brad, at his hospital bedside.
Francis grew up in Ratner Saskatchewan on the Andal Farm. Growing up on a farm is where his relationship with outdoors began. Francis enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, camping with family and friends, and spending quiet time outdoors. Friendly gatherings with music, and cards is when Francis was really in his environment.
In 1973 Francis and Sharon got married and moved to Fort St. John, B.C. where they resided for 39 years; starting their family, establishing their careers and growing their roots within the community. Francis was very active with several local organizations always being the first to raise his hand to help raise funds for Ducks Unlimited, Wildlife Federation, Lakepoint Golf and Country Club, and the Rod and Gun Club amongst others. In 2007 Francis and Sharon started spending the cold Canadian winters in Sun City West Arizona. In 2012 they located from Fort St. John, BC to Aldersyde, AB and eventually moved to High River, AB.
He is survived by this wife Sharon; sons Aaron, and Brad; Daughter in law Karling; grandkids Lena-Grace and Wyatt; brother Dwight (Joan); and Sisters Louise (Kip) and Nancy (Bob).
Francis was predeceased by his Parents Alvin and Grace Andal; and Sister Mavis McFarlane.
Francis will ever be known and missed for his honesty, understanding, wisdom, love, and kindness. May he rest in peace knowing he is loved and respected by all those who have been touched by meeting him.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Snodgrass Funeral Chapel in High River on May 4th 2024, at 1:00pm.
