With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother Catherine Broomer in her 92nd year on December 13, 2023, at the Anna-Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay. Born in Montreal on September 16, 1932 to the late Bernard Fisher and Catherine (McCann).
Catherine was the cherished wife of the late Frederick Broomer. Dearly loved mother of Fred (Sandi), Carol (Ron), Lorrie, Marlene (Mike) and Barry (Caroline). Loving grandmother to Gregory, Andrea, Michael, Alanna, Chelsea, Kyle, Colin, Tyler, Kailey, Michael, Brianna, Liam and Emma. Great-grandmother to Lucas, Kaylinn, Quinn, Jude, Rylan, Reid, Jillian, Josie and Blake. Dear sister of Helen, Jim and the late Bernard and Betty.
A special thank you to Dr. Jean-Philippe Parent and the palliative care team at the Anna-Laberge Hospital for their wonderful care, and a very special thank you to Dr. Amir Farzaie for his care, concern and guidance during our mother’s illness.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 16 from 2 pm, followed by a service at 4 pm, in the Chapel.
