Faith Mason (née Chant) passed away peacefully at Hillside Manor in Stratford on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
Beloved mother of Chris (Keith), Doug (Dianne), and Lori (Tony). Grandmother of Jack (Kelsey), Hannah, Lindsay (Adam), Meghan (Joe), Lisa (Chris), Kelly, and Katrina. Great-grandmother of Olivia, Maddison, Lucas, Farley, Winston, and Lewis. She is also survived by her brother Doug (Linda), sister-in-law Judy Chant, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Ed, her husband of sixty-one years. Also predeceased by her parents, Chris and Tess Chant, brothers Wayne and Brian, and daughter-in-law Heather Mason.
Faith and her husband owned Lake of Bays Marine for a number of years in Muskoka, where they raised their family and were active in the community of Dorset. Faith was a woman of diverse talents and interests: a bookkeeper, school bus driver, waterskier, drum majorette, snowmobiler, LCBO employee, bowler, list maker, square dancer, traveler to sunny places, note leaver, knitter, and lover of country music and musicals. She was a charming hostess of many much-remembered dinner parties, and she loved to shop for and wear beautiful clothes. Faith was cheerful, positive, kind, and as social as she could be right up to the end of her life. She was greatly loved and is much missed.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Hillside Manor for being so kind and gentle and considerate.
There will be a private family memorial at a future date.
