Evelyn Scott Obituary
Evelyn «Eve» May Scott, age 98, of Stratford, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Toronto, one of three children of Gladys May Livingstone and Robert David Owen. Loving wife of James «Jim» M. Scott. Proud mother of Robert «Bob» (Sibyl) McRae and Malcolm (Beatrice) Scott. Grandmother of Derek (Allison), Brenda (Russell), and Justin. Eve will also be fondly remembered by her niece Laura (Tim), great nephew Jeff (Kim), and dear friend/cousin Betsy (John). Eve loved her life in Stratford with Jim and their many wonderful friends in the community. Eve enjoyed people and especially helping those in need where she could. Eve volunteered at the Stratford General Hospital in the gift shop for many years, she knitted many hats and booties for preemies, and volunteered with the Rotary Club of Stratford on a regular basis. Eve loved traveling and whenever the opportunity presented itself, Eve and Jim would travel all over Canada and the world together. While Jim worked with Bell Canada, he and Eve spent two years in Saudi Arabia which gave them amazing stories and extra adventures to other countries oversees. Eve was a member of St, James Anglican Church and as per Eve’s request, cremation will take place and she will be interred in God’s Holy Acre at a later date. In lieu of flowers, and as expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Rotary Foundation of Rotary International or Canada, the Rotary Club of Stratford Foundation, or the Stratford General Hospital Foundation through the W.
