It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Eva Violet Walsh of Creston South announces her passing. Eva passed away at the U.S. Memorial Long Term Care Facility in St. Lawrence on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023, at the age of 69.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, David Walsh (Beverly) of Creston and Terry Walsh (Paula Brenton) of Burin; grandchildren, Ethan, Brandon, Jackson, Taylor and Bella; sisters, Marjorie Murray of Marystown and Gloria Kirby (Barry) of Burin; brothers, Max Taylor of Boxey, David Taylor (Elaine) of Corner Brook and Merrill Taylor (Susan) of St. John’s; sisters-in-law, Susanna Dennis (Charlie) of Creston South, Lydia Hodder of Ontario and Mary Ann Baker (Bill) of Marystown; brothers-in-law, Dan Walsh (Florence) of Marystown, Tony Walsh (Vivian) of Conne River, Gerald Walsh (Mary) of Little Bay and Terry Walsh (Pauline) of Burin; plus a large number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Eva was predeceased by her husband, Jack Walsh; parents, Max & Doris Taylor; parents-in-law, John & Susan Walsh; brothers-in-law, Gordon Murray and Eric Hodder; sisters-in-law, Annette Taylor and Patricia (Tish) Oake; and nephew, Eugene Taylor.
Special Thank you to the staff at U.S. Memorial Long Term Care Facility for the wonderful care given to Eva during her stay.
The Walsh Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on
Thursday, March 30
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Friday, March 31st
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow.
Inurnment will take place at Sacred Heart R. C. Cemetery, Marystown on Monday, April 3rd, 2023 at 10:30am.
In Eva’s memory, donations can be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or flowers gratefully accepted.
