Eva’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we the family of the late Eva Lorella Bowdridge announces her peaceful passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stehpenville, NL on Monday, March 20th 2023 at the age of 86 years. Eva was the daughter of the late Richard and Beatrice Harvey (nee Alley). She was also predeceased by her husband, Chesley Bowdridge; son, Roy; brother, Allison (Madonna); sister, Martha (John) and brother in-law, Joseph Legge.
She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her loving children; Robert (Eileen) Bowdridge of Stephenville, NL, Darlene (Brian) LeRiche of Port aux Basques, NL, Sheila (Alex) Lomond of Lantz, NS, Thelma Bowdridge of Deer Lake, NL and June Marshall of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Jason, Allison (Jason), Richard (Vanessa), Jennifer (Junior), Claudia, Krystal-lee (Doug), Steven (Charlotte), Krista (Dawn), Kyle, Kody, Shannon and Sara; brothers, Lorne (Risa), Gordon (Helena); sisters, Stella (Bill), Bryde (Bob), Pearl (Isiaac) and Thelma plus a large circle of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mom enjoyed playing cards, bingo, darts and participating in tournaments with her friends and family. Mom was involved in quilting where she made quilts for her children, grandchildren and family. Over the years mom, did a lot of knitting and crocheting. She looked forward to Sunday drives, stopping at the Chignic Lodge and StarLite Lounge to listen to music and have a jig. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital as well as the staff at the Crosswinds Seniors Resort for the amazing and wonderful care given to mom over the years.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 22nd 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday March 23rd 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 24th at 2 p.m. from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, officiated by the Rev. Faye Coffin. Cremation will follow with internment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eva can be made to the family or St. James Cemetery Fund.
