Eunice Cooke Obituary
Eunice Cooke of Eastend passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023 at the age of 88 in Swift Current Hospital.
Eunice was born July 26, 1935 to Park and Eunice Peterson. She took her early schooling at Avon Country School, and then attended Eastend High School. She married Harold Cooke on December 6, 1954. They farmed and enjoyed country life until they moved into Eastend in 1968. They continued to farm, but living in town made going to school easier for their five girls. Then in 1974 a baby boy arrived making a total of 6 children. Eunice was a devoted wife and mother. She would occasionally help in the field, grew a big garden, canned, baked, sewed and loved growing flowers.
She was predeceased by her sister Chlora Banford; her brother-in-law Richard Banford; grandson Clayton Schulze and son-in-law Wayne McGregor. She is survived by her husband Harold Cooke; Her daughters Brenda Cooke of Swift Current, Haroldine Schulze (George) of Eastend SK, Sheryl Wolf (Les) of Jackfish Lake SK, Laurie Reynolds (Wynn) of Eastend SK, Nancy Kerr (Scot) of Taber AB; her son Jason Cooke of Swift Current; grandchildren Adele Dieterle (Nick), Nathan Schulze (Nicole), Shelley Scheibner (C.J.), Kristen Smith (Arron), Terry McGregor (Bobbie), Ryan Reynolds (Shawna), Shawn Reynolds (Jenna), Tyneil Kerr (David), Kyla Kerr (Colton), Marissa Kerr (Taylor), Mason Smeby, and Danica Smeby; her great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Logan, Noah, Avienah, Aiden, Taya, Ryder, Carter, and Jack; her sister Della Dornhofer of Rocklin California, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
