Estanislao G. Tomarong was the youngest among the 5 children of Emelio Tomarong and Dominga Gutang. He was born on November 13, 1947 in the Philippines, Ibo Province, Toledo City, Cebu. Estanislao and his first wife Meriam had a son, Stephne Brian. After Meriam passed in 2012 he married Rosalinda in 2015 and became the stepfather to Michelle and Jennifer.
Estanislao finished his elementary and secondary school education in Toledo City, and his degree in Mechanical Engineering in Cebu City. From 1971 until 1975 he worked as a supervisor in Marinduque Mining and Power Plant. With his family, he moved to Saudi Arabia for 10 years and worked for SCECO Western Region as a generator engineer. When they moved to Canada in 1990, Estanislao worked at TRQSS until his retirement in 2011.
A humble, born again Bible believer, he served as one of the Board of Directors at Windsor Evangelical Bible Church in Forest Glade. Estanislao was very much involved in the Filipino Community Centre as one of the board members, after stepping into the role from his late wife Meriam. He loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, and mind, and he collected tons of Christian Praise and Worship songs.
On Saturday, September 30, 2023 all are welcome at the Windsor Evangelical Bible Church, 3149 Forest Glade Drive, Windsor, for Memorial Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until a Celebration of Estanislao’s Life begins at 11:00 a.m.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted for Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841.
