SOARES, Ernesto David passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday July 22, 2024 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Zelia and cherished father of Ana (Manuel) and Paula (Rui). Grandfather to Eric (Lyndsay), Kyle (Ashley), Devin (Chantel), Ryan (Samantha) and Lindsay. Great grandfather of Spencer, Brayden, Amelia and Alijah. Survived by his siblings Luis, Natalia and Dario. Predeceased by his parents Joao and Maria Soares and siblings Fernanda, Antonio and Clara. David will also sadly be missed by his extended family and friends. The Soares family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Cambridge Memorial Hospital, especially the ICU and Med A departments. Donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be much appreciated by the family. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge, where family and friends will be received on Thursday July 25, 2024 from 5-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held from Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 185 Elgin St. S., Cambridge on Friday July 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
