Ernest «Ernie» Bertram Eady
July 29th, 1936 – January 19th, 2024
In his 88th year, peacefully with his family by his side, he gained his angel wings at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on January 19, 2024. Ernie leaves behind the love of his life for 49 years Shirley McMillan. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Edith (Tubman), brother Harold (Irene), sister Pearl (Ray) MacDonald, sister in-law Vivian (Noble) Eady, brother in-law Basil McMillan and brother in-law Harvey (Susan) McMillan. He leaves behind his daughters Sonya (Edward) van Beek and Ruby Lynn (Steve) Osipenko. Ernie had 6 amazing grandchildren Miranda Yackobeck (Austin), Clinton Yackobeck (Janice), Hannah Yackobeck (Cody), Danica, Kolton, and Kale Osipenko. Ernie was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren Jace, Lucas, Ameila, and Harper. Ernie also leaves behind his brother Brian, sister Jean (Dale) Gillan, sister in-law Betty McMillan as well as many nieces and nephews. Ernie lived his life to the fullest, he enjoyed travelling, the outdoors, spending time with his family and loved being involved with his church community.
Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:30 pm until the time of the service in the Zohr Family Chapel at 3:00 pm. Family and friends are welcome to join us at the Horton Community Centre, 1005 Castleford Road after 5:30 pm for refreshments and fellowship as we honour Ernie and his dear brother in-law Harvey MacMillan.
