Ernest Brian «Teddy Bear» Terry
Terry, Ernest “Brian” “Teddy Bear” – Age 71, Truro Heights, passed away on October 13, 2024, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, Brian was the son of the late Eddie and Lillian (Savory) Tucker.
Brian spent his life behind the wheel, first driving large trucks nationwide and then taxi service. He was very sociable and loved meeting the many people he encountered daily. His family always came first which was very evident in his final days. His nickname, “Teddy Bear” truly was appropriate for he had many cats and dogs and loved all animals.
He is survived by his dearest companion, Mary White; stepdaughters, Betty Ann Childs (David), Jacqueline White (Tony), Nicole Henderson (Wendell); grandchildren, Ashley Childs, Sheley Childs, Jayden White, Cailynn Prosper, Jon Prosper; sisters, Kathy, Judy (partner), Carolyn (Bobby), Tammy (Howard), Jacqueline (Gerald); brother, Stephen Tucker (Maria); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ethel Childs; brothers, Pat and Timmy.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Lung Association.
Special thanks to his friends, Darlene and George MacDonald, neighbors, Kevin, Tammy, Marilyn (Darrell), Paul and nephew, Jeff MacLaren and to the Palliative Care and Intensive Care personnel who gave Brian such wonderful care and attention during his days in hospital.
