Smith, Eric Lawrence, passed away peacefully at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital on January 20, 2024 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Marion Smith (nee Houde). Brother of Darryl Smith, Eugene Smith and Wayne Smith. Loving father to Eldon Smith, Sharron Noreiga, Kimberly Veldstra. Loving Step-father of Kenneth Rupert, Janet Howell, and Vivian Howard. Cherished grandfather of Philip Rupert, Patty Matthews, Susan Butler, Kenny Jr Rupert, Laurie Chilsom, Troy Beckwith, Bradley McLeod, Trevor Beckwith, Lisa Howell, Christopher McLeod, Travis Beckwith, Jessie Howard, and Erin McCormick. Dear Great Grandfather to many. Eric will be greatly missed by his many cousins, Great and Great-Great Grandchildren. Eric is predeceased by his parents Eric & Rose Smith. Respecting his wishes, cremation will take place. A Family Service will be held at the Carrying Place Annex Cemetery at a later date in the spring.
