The family announces with sorrow his death May 19, 2024 at the Ottawa General Hospital. Beloved spouse to Anne Sutcliffe for 26 years. Loving father to four children Christine (Larry), Sydney (Christine), Amélie, and Noah (Taya). Caring Grandfather to Olivia, Jayden, and Abigail. Predeceased by his parents Gilles and Marguerite Major, and sister Line Major Gagnon. Dear brother to Jean Major (Anna). He will sadly be missed by nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Eric was an HVAC technician for over 35 years, and took great pride in his work, sharing his knowledge in his trade with many. He will be greatly missed by his employer and colleagues at Rick Menard Heating and Cooling, and enjoyed working at this family-owned business for many years, whom were always so generous and caring to our family.
His passion was cooking and sharing his meals with friends and neighbours, and proudly labelled his feasts “À la Eric”. He loved camping with his family, and especially not up to code ultimate bonfires. He was also quite a home renos handyman. Eric will be in all the hearts of those he touched. He will always be the greatest love of my life and “Still the One”. Till we meet again.

Funeral will be held July 6th 2024 at St. Augustine’s Church 1060 Baseline Road at 11:00am, with reception in basement to follow.
