HOWE, Emily –
Peacefully at Toronto General Hospital, on Monday, August 7, 2023, at the age of 90. Emily loved to cook Perogies and many other Ukrainian foods while volunteering her time as head chef in the St. Demetrius Church kitchen for many years. She spent so much of her time in the kitchen that it is now called Emily’s Kitchen and she even had her own parking spot! Dearly beloved wife of the late Steve Howe. Loving mother of Lorrie Howe, and Blair Howe and his wife Cindy. Loving grandmother of Lauren (Braydon). Lauren was her greatest love and joy and truly made her life full. She will also be missed by the Defeo and Naryniecki families and all the American cousins. A special thank you to all the friends who were of great support, especially; Karin and Eugene Rovinelli, Al and Lynn Melchior, Vijay and Lilly Salhotra, The Jarman’s, Anna, Betty, Lesia, Vicki, Peter and Irene. Extreme gratitude to the wonderful team at Toronto General Hosptal, Lung Clinic. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 4-9 p.m. Panakhyda Sunday 7 p.m. Funeral at St. Demetrius Church, 135 La Rose Avenue, on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 10 a.m. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery.
