Emily Beatrice Scott (nee Wilson) passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024, at her family home.
Emily, beloved wife of the late Brian Scott, was a loving mother of Janis (Guy), Jeffrey, Richard (Yvonne), Derek, and her late son Rusty. Dearly loved grandmother of Katie, Lori (Barry), Nolan, and her great-grandchild Layla. Predeceased by her parents, Norman & Muriel, and her brother Edward. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, along with all the friends she made over the years raising a family in her High Park neighbourhood.
Emily was warm and funny with a sharp mind and a keen interest in a host of hobbies that kept her engaged throughout her life. Known for her love of animals, it was rare to find her home without a stray cat or dog living a pampered existence. In her later years, she really thrived during the long summers at the family properties in Marmora and Emsdale. Emily knew how to slow down and enjoy life; she knew how to make you laugh and how to feel both special and loved.
In accordance with Emily’s wishes there will be no public memorial service. Her remains will be interred at the Westminster Cemetery, where she will be reunited with her husband Brian and her many cherished relatives.
