SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Emile P. Richard 98, of
Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris
Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Monday, March 4, 2024. Born
in Pont-du-Milieu, NB he was the son of the late Prospère
Richard and late Domithilde (Bordage) Richard. Before
retiring, Emile owned and operated his Mechanic Shop.
Emile will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Jeannine
Robichaud (Rhéal) of St. Louis, Linda Robichaud (Blair),
Denise Savoie (Vernon) both of St. Charles; three sons, Ronald Richard
(Emerise) of Dieppe, Paul Richard (Anise) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Denis
Richard (Paulette) of Aldouane; eleven grandchildren, Ken, Brian,
Marc, Melissa, Danny, Cindy, Stephane, Caroline, Alain, Yves, Tifanie
and thirteen great grandchildren.
He is also survived by two sisters, Clara Babineau (late
Camille) of St. Louis, Bertha Aucoin (late Jean-Paul) of Dieppe;
brothers-in-law, Roger Daigle of St. Louis, Dolor Daigle of St. Louis;
sisters-in-law, Rita Richard of St. Louis, Annette Richard of St.
Louis and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife,
Elva (Hebert) Richard; infant brother Aurèle; three
sisters, Yvonne, Rosa, Lina; five brothers, Armand, Edmond,
Jean-Baptiste, Emerie, Fernand and grandchild Jean-Patrick
(Denis and Paulette).
Visitation will be held on Friday beginning at 1:00 pm at
Thompson Memorial Home in Saint-Louis-de-Kent until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March
8, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the St. Louis-des-Français Roman
Catholic Church in Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
The family wish to thank the staff at Foyer Bois Joli and
special thank you to the staff at the Stella Maris Hospital for the
exceptional care they provided to Emile. Donations in his
memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Stella Maris
Hospital and would be appreciated by the family.
