God called Elvira (nee Varone) peacefully on March 29, 2023 at the age of 91. She is reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Bruno. She will forever be cherished by her dear children, Joe (Norma), Tony (Brenda), Elisa (Anthony Howard) and Carlo. Elvira was the proud Nonna to Daniel, Alexander (Shannon), Andrew, Frances, Natalie, Matthew, Nives, Marco, Simon, Luke, Justin and one great grandchild on the way. Elvira will always be remembered by her sisters Anita (Angelo) and Letizia, along with sisters-in-law Antonietta and Maria Varone, Giuseppina and Cecilia Moretto and Maria Pellizer, and also by Diane Moretto. Her brothers and sisters in heaven will greet her with open arms and a glass of wine, including Carlo, Maria (Sabatino), Carmela (Zefferino), along with her in-laws Enrico, Giuseppe and Aldo. She will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. If so desired, donations in memory of Elvira Moretto may be made to ShareLife or Mackenzie Health Hospital Foundation-Cortellucci.
Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 from 5-9 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 31st, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church. (8500 Islington Ave., south of Langstaff Rd.).
