Elva Nadeen (Bolton) Sorg
Elva passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday January 26, 2024, at the age of 89. Beloved mother of Tracey Prikker (Scott) and Sherri Sorg. Loving grandmother of Camryn and Colin Prikker. Dear sister to Dora Houston (late Matt) and Terry Bolton (Ellowene). Predeceased by husband Jack Sorg, parents Wilfred and Verna (nee Dunford) Bolton and siblings, Noreen Longhurst, Arthur Bolton, Robert Bolton, Gerry Bolton and David Bolton. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Elva will be remembered by her independent spirit, her love of gardening and good home cooked meals. She was an avid and skilled knitter, donating many of her creations to local charities. She enjoyed visits from family and friends and organized many of the annual family picnics. Elva was a devoted grandma to her two grandchildren who will have many cherished memories. She enjoyed the company of her cat Milo.
In keeping with Elva’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
In memory of Elva and in lieu of flowers donations to Lakefield Animal Welfare or Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation, would be appreciated.
