A life well lived.
The family of Elsie B. Eva (nee Vetter) sadly announce her passing on October 7, 2023 in her 95th year.
Born in Lemberg, Saskatchewan on November 16, 1928. She moved to Hanover, Ontario as a young child and then to Waterloo in 1948 with her new husband, Wilfred.
Elsie was predeceased by her parents, Adam & Katherine Vetter, her husband Wilfred Eva, her son Thomas, her husband Kenneth Kaufman, her siblings Clara Paul, Chris Gardiner & John Vetter.
She is survived by her sons Jack (Catherine) & Jim, her grandchildren Kristen, Greg (Isabelle), Maryl (Joe) and Kurt and one great granddaughter, Lucie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom enjoyed her years at Waterloo Heights where she connected with numerous friends from her past while also making new friends.
Special thanks to all the great people at Waterloo Heights, especially Maia, the nursing staff at St. Mary’s on the 5th floor and the wonderfully caring team at Hospice Waterloo.
Visitation will be at Erb & Good Funeral home at 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday October 11th from 7-9pm and Thursday October 12th from 10-11 followed by the service at 11. Lunch will be served after service followed by the interment ceremony at Parkview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Grand River Cancer Center or Hospice Waterloo would be appreciated by the family.
