Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on April 18, 2024, Elsie May Whalen of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 92 years.
Predeceased by, husband: Walter; infant daughter: Linda; parents: Arthur and Mary Ann Clarke; step-mother: Nellie; brothers: Kevin (Bonita), Bill Clarke, Bill Fitzgerald, and Leo (Linda) Galway; parents-in-law: John and Mary Whalen.
Leaving to mourn, daughter: Jackie (Byron) Moores; two sons: Bob (Mary) Farrell and John Whalen; son-in-law: Randy Reid (Rosalyn); nine grandchildren: Bobbie Jo (Darren), Steven (Michelle), Ryerson (Dawson), Cody, Jesse, Nicole (Brad), Jake, Chad, and Johnathon; thirteen great-grandchildren; six brothers: Butch (Jeanie), Rendell (Ros), Wayne (Lois), Gord (Margie-deceased), Bob (Tina), and Randy (Marten); five sisters: Glad (Ern-deceased), Marge (Ken), Carol (Ric), Patsy (Mel), and Bridget (Henry-deceased); sister-in-law: Patsy Clarke; special friend: Joyce Whalen (James – deceased); beloved dog: Max; special caregiver, daughter-in-law: Mary; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Saturday, April 20 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, April 21 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Monday, April 22 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace.
Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
