With deep sadness, the family announces the passing of Mrs. Elsie Willett at the age of 90 years. Mrs. Willett died at the Temiskaming Hospital on Friday, June 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 1, 1933 in Gaspé, PQ to the late Albert Coffin and the late Jessie Lanquedoc. Mrs. Willett was a long time Haileybury resident and volunteered for many years with minor hockey and the 54’s hockey club. She was instrumental in helping to bring artificial ice to the Haileybury Arena. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her presence will sorely be missed by all those who have known her.
Mrs. Willett is survived by her three sons Kerry (Lorraine), Rick (Louise) and Donnie (Liz). She is also survived by her grandsons Warren (Em) and Dustin (Stephanie) and by her sister Marie. She is predeceased by her parents, by her husband Cleve Willett and by her 4 brothers and her 5 sisters.
A special thanks to Dr. Lawson and her staff for the excellent care and compassion provided and special love for all Quine family.
Mrs. Willett’s final care has been entrusted to Buffam Leveille Funeral Home, Haileybury. A private family committal service will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
