It is with profound sadness that his family announces the passing of Elliott Smith on September 13, 2024 at The Temiskaming District Hospital following a courageous and lengthy battle against cancer. Elliott was 54 years of age.
Elliott is survived by his wife Kelly (Loach), by his mother Mae Smith (nee Buswa) and by his brother Kevin [Penny] Smith all of Sudbury. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his father and mother-in-law Bruce and Wendy Loach of New Liskeard, brothers and sisters-in-laws Chris and Carole Loach of New Liskeard, Greg Loach and Renée Hacquard of North Bay, Kari and Jason Raymond of New Liskeard and Danny Loach of North Bay. Elliott will be affectionately remembered by many nieces, nephews, his extended family members and last but not least his and Kelly’s fur baby Daisy. He is predeceased by his father Valerian Smith, by his sister Kimberly Smith and by his brothers Patrick and Bradford Smith.
The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at the Temiskaming District Hospital for the incredible care and support they provided Elliott and his family during his stay there.
Elliott’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home – New Liskeard chapel [241 Shepherdson Rd.] on Wednesday September 18, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the The Salvation Army Temiskaming Community Church [260 Whitewood Ave. New Liskeard] on Thursday September 19, 2024 at 11:00am. Lieutenant Robbie Donaldson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the The Salvation Army Temiskaming will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
