2011-2024
It is
with immeasurable sadness the family of Eli Andrew Stuart Young
announce his untimely passing from this world on Thursday, July 11,
2024 at the age of 13. Born in Halifax, Eli was the son of Amanda
Young and Rodney Samson.
Eli had
just graduated grade 7 at Wolfville School. He was a member of the
Wolfville School boys’ basketball team and loved playing
sports in general. He was active and always on the go, whether that
meant riding his bike or scooter around town, meeting new people, or
hatching his next entrepreneurial business venture, he had a passion
for life, and it was reflected wherever he went. Eli also loved being
outside, fishing and playing with his friends, especially his
‘boys’. This dynamic group of four did just about
everything together, and Eli always had their back and best interest
in mind, he was all about his boys. Eli had a creative, intuitive mind
and was wise well beyond his years. He had a gift of connecting with
others, young or old, and his legacy will live on through the many
lives he has touched in his brief time with
us.
In
addition to his parents, Eli is survived by his stepfather, Michael
Wentworth (Amanda Young) and stepmother, Jesi-Leigh Barber (Rodney
Samson); siblings, Jade, Sawyer, Ruby and Avery; paternal grandmother,
Bernadette Samson; maternal uncles, Rick (Laurie) and cousins, RJ and
Isabelle Young; and Bill (Richelle) and cousins, Aislynn, Marlee and
Will Young; paternal uncle, Dan and cousin Bradley
Samson.
Eli was
predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Richard and May Young; and
paternal grandfather, Ronald «Ronnie»
Samson.
Cremation has taken place and there
will be no visitation. A Celebration of Eli’s life will be
held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville with a reception to follow.

arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Online
