Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa in Cornwall on Saturday, January 21, 2023, Eleanor St. Pierre (nee Ouderkirk) of Finch, age 90. Beloved wife of the late Erskine St. Pierre. Loving mother of Elaine Jackson (Alan) of Chesterville, John “Jack” St. Pierre of Finch, Cindy Cleary (John) of Lunenburg and Donnie St. Pierre (Amanda) of Finch. Much loved Nanny of Kristy, Robyn, Matthew, John, Alexander, Kailey, Logan, Joshua, Dylan and great-Nanny of Zoe, Wyatt, Samuel, Shia, Kade and Nash. Dear sister of Rita Dingwall (Eldred) of Ottawa and John Ouderkirk (Cathy) of Ottawa. Dear sister-in-law of Lois Ouderkirk of Ingleside. Dear mother-in-law of Marilyn St. Pierre of Brockville and Donald Rushford of Finch. She was predeceased by her parents James and Birdie Ouderkirk, her children Steven St. Pierre and Jayne Rushford, her sisters Lois Hawke (Lloyd), Doris Conrad (Merle), Sheila Hume (Hiram), Fairley Thompson (Rodney), Audrey Whitman (Wallace), Erma Pettit (Leonard), Sandra Cavan (Mike), her brothers Douglas and James Ouderkirk and her infant sisters Jackie and Valerie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Finch Community Cemetery followed by a celebration of Eleanor’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion in Finch. Donations to CHEO would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
