1943-2023
Peacefully with her family by her side at Whisperwood Villa
on Friday, August 11, 2023 of Eleanor Mabel Stewart (nee MacKinnon) of
Charlottetown, formerly of Pleasant Valley age 79 years.
Eleanor is the daughter of the late Hugh and Mabel MacKinnon.
Beloved wife of William and dear mother of Anna Axworthy-Campos
(Fernando), Valerie Axworthy (Rick White), Dean Axworthy( dec) and
Dawn Axworthy (dec). Stepmother of Naomi Stewart (Frank Power), and
Dawne Stewart. Loving and proud Grammie to Kyler van der Gaag, Victor
van der Gaag, Chad Hegarty, Jeremy Hegarty and great grandmother to
Jade van der Gaag, Orion van der Gaag, Saint Hegarty and Ruby Hegarty.
Also lovingly remembered by step grandchildren Taylor Power, and
William and Emily MacKinley. Dear sister of Gardiner MacKinnon (Ellen
Blair), George MacKinnon (dec), Gary MacKinnon (dec), Reg MacKinnon
(Mary), Ron MacKinnon and Debbie Tweedy (Blair). Eleanor will also be
missed by her nieces , nephews, grand nephews and sister and
brothers-in-law.
The family would like to extend their thanks to all staff of
Units 3 and 7 of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and everyone at
Whisperwood Villa for the care given to Eleanor.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home
for visiting hours on Wednesday, August 16th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 17th with funeral service
from Community Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Fairview
Baptist Cemetery.

Baptist Church or the Alzheimer Society of PEI.
