Elda Johnson
Johnson, Elda Bernice – Age 85, Truro. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elda Johnson, on December 21, 2024, in Debert Court Shannex Nursing Home with family members at her bedside. Born in Truro on January 25, 1939, Elda was a daughter of the late Hugh and Gwen Morrisey, Hilden.
Elda is survived by her sister, Joyce Blaikie and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Elda was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Arthur Johnson; sisters, Yvonne Watson and Carol Matthews and niece, Cindy Shay.
Elda was a member of the Salmon River Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed sharing her bible-based hope with others. She had a reputation of being a very kind and classy lady that endeared her to everyone she met.
Special thanks to all the staff of Debert Court who provided Elda with care during her two years of residing there.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Truro Kingdom Hall or Hilden Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held on January 4th at 2pm in the Truro Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Waller Drive, Truro.
