1945-2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine K. Ward
announces her sudden passing at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday,
December 4, 2024. Born in Rexton, New Brunswick, on February 26, 1945,
Elaine was the beloved daughter of the late Arnold and Helen
(Campbell) Warman.
Elaine devoted much of her life to caring for others. She
worked as a childcare worker for many years before spending the
remainder of her career with The Canadian Red Cross, providing care
for seniors. Elaine’s infectious sense of humor brightened
the lives of those around her, and she could always bring a smile to
others, even in the face of her own health challenges.
Elaine treasured her family deeply and loved spending time
with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching curling, The Olympics,
and the Weather Network, and will be fondly remembered for her warmth,
kindness, and wit.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Lorne; her
children, Mac (Brenda), Kim (Tim), Burt (Traci), and Lorne Jr; her
brothers, Harlan (Mary Lou) and Kenny (Yvette), both of Bass River;
and her sister, Donna Brown (Vaughan) of Bass River. Elaine was also
adored by her grandchildren, Natasha (Tyson), Nicole (Garrett),
Katelyn (Kevin), Dylan, Austin (Kiara), Jacob, Emma-Jane (Nicolas),
Grace, Jaden, Lily (Brandon), Noah, Chase, and Kody; her
great-grandchildren, Tysanna, TJ, Natyasia, Charlie, Dallas, and
Nolan; and her great-great-grandchildren, Alayjah and
Alexsa.
Elaine was predeceased by her parents.
In keeping with Elaine’s wishes, a service will be
held in the spring of 2025 at St. Stephen’s United Church
Cemetery in Bass River, New Brunswick.
In memory of Elaine, donations may be made to St.
Stephen’s United Church or Cemetery.
