Obituary
It is with great sadness and broken hearts the angels took Elaine home. On April 19, 2024, at the Carbonear Hospital, in the presence of her family after a lengthy illness at the age of 61, Elaine was called home to join our parents Donald and Myrtis Pitcher; grandparents William and Selina Pitcher; and grandfather Ebenezer Penney.
Elaine leaves behind to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sisters Linda (Pleman) Williams, Donna (David) Brace, Pauline (Don) Williams; her Goddaughter and her whole heart as she referred to her as, Alexandria (Jon LeMessurier) Hickey; nieces Stephanie (Paul) Hickey and Ava, Lesley (Peter) Brophy, Cohen and Myles, Leanne (Robert) Aschendorf and Katie; nephews Chad (Nicole Esau) Williams, Dawson, Michael, Samantha and Tyler (Meaghan Hamilton) Williams.
A huge thank you to the 6th floor nursing staff of the Carbonear Hospital for showing Elaine so much love, care and compassion. Thank you also to Dr. Carrie and Dr. Srour.
A special thank you to the staff of the Shag Rock Manor for the care, kindness and love given to Elaine during her stay.
Thank you to the ambulance attendants who made many trips to the hospital with her especially this last little while. Thank you to her roommate at the Shag Rock Manor Joan Rowe for loving her like her own.
Elaine loved to laugh and make others laugh along with her. Before her illness she was very active in her church and community.
Elaine, we love you and we will miss you dearly, our family get togethers will never be the same without your beautiful smile and your amazing sense of humor.

Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Elaine’s life and a committal service will be held at a later date.
