CATALFAMO, Eileen (nee DiTomaso-Thomas) – A caring wife, mother, Nonna, aunt, sister and friend left this world on Monday February 13, 2023 at the age of 91. Eileen was born to the late Nicola and Angelina DiTomaso at the family home in Niagara Falls on September 9, 1931. She remained in that house until she met and fell in love with her late husband Sam Catalfamo (1992) and together they had four children Natalie (Kyle) Ramsay, Anthony (Holly), Patti (Martin) Fitzgerald and the late Angela Natalie (1959). Eileen loved her family and her grandchildren, and was proud of her home and her independence. Her caring nature and kindness made her a shoulder to lean on and she was a trusted confidant to many. She shared a special bond with her sisters and she enjoyed many hours gathered around a table telling stories, drinking coffee and playing cards. She loved having holidays at her house, cooking for family and watching her Toronto Blue Jays. Eileen leaves behind her sister Flora Thomas, grandchildren; Kevin, Jaclyn and Alison Ramsay, Sam and Max Catalfamo, Robert and Nicholas Fitzgerald, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her sisters Jenny (Patsy) Ranallo, Mary (Ernest) Jamesty, Annie Cassibo, her brother Santo (Yvonne) Thomas and brother-in-law Fillippo (Angelina) Catalfamo. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Thursday February 16, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 1 pm at Our Lady of Peace Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Eileen, memorial contributions may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, and would be appreciated. Online condolences at pattersonfuneralhome.com
