Edward Mulla, at 89 years of age, from Tyndall MB passed away peacefully on October 11, 2023 at Selkirk Regional Health Centre. Ed was predeceased by his wife Shirley. He is survived by his children Leanne (Jeff), Kevin (Audrey), and grandchildren Dustin (Chelsea), Adam, Sydney (Amin), Eric, and 3 great grandchildren, plus a brother Paul (Shirley) and his sister Gladys and sister in laws, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad was born in Highland Glen and grew up on a farm outside of Tyndall. He married Shirley in 1959 and moved to Tyndall in 1971, where together they raised their family. Dad’s career was always mechanically based. He worked in many different industries over the years. Ed was the person you went to see when you needed something fixed. He could fix anything or do anything – from fixing a door lock or a motor to moving a building. Dad loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Manitoba Agricultural Museum, and when he was able, enjoyed volunteering there.
Dad loved family – he enjoyed spending time with all of us and being able to spend time with the grandchildren. In recent years, the great grandchildren always left him with an uplifted mood and a smile on his face. He was loved by all and will not be forgotten.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the homecare workers, EMTs, doctors, nurses and all the care providers at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre for their care of Dad.
A private family service will be held. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
