Obituary
Surrounded by the love of his wife, daughters and son, Edward W. George, aged 75 years passed peacefully away after a brief illness.
Predeceased by his mother and father, Edna Julia and Edmund John; brother Kevin (Eileen); great grandson Malaki; and mother and father-in-law Rachel and Malcolm Cooper.
With fond and loving memories Ed leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Hazel; children Sherry (Ted Holmes), Sonia (Clifford Mackenzie), Marlene (Andrew March) and Jeffrey (Amanda George). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Scott, Justin, Stacey, Jenna, Taylor, Kallista, Kameron, Emma, Paige, Amber and Maya, along with their spouses; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. He also touched the lives of many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, his fur baby Joey and a large circle of friends.
Ed was a great man with lifelong dedication to his family, friends and community. He loved his passions of fishing, hunting and construction.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
As per Ed’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A visitation will be held from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Monday, July 15, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A memorial service will be held from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Interment at St. Augustine’s Columbarium will be held at a later date.
Donations in Ed’s memory are greatly appreciated, and may be made to the Cranford Memorial Park, New Harbour.
