Obituary of Edna Peters
Edna Mary Peters (née Peter) passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, at the age of 92, with her loving family by her side. Edna was a lifelong resident of Welland. Beloved mother of Benoit (Linda) Couture, Paul Couture, (the late) Lisa Lepage (Roger) and Glenn Couture (Debra). Dear grandmother of Amanda, Stephanie, and Nolan. Loving great-grandmother of Maddie, Olivia, and Lexie. Edna will be missed by her sister Anne and many nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart. Edna cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very proud them and found joy in their laughter and love. Edna was the beloved daughter of Domokos and Christine Peter. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Johnny, Zoli, Lawrence, and her sister Elsie.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all of Edna’s friends for their love and friendship throughout the years. Thank you to the staff at Foyer Richelieu for their compassion, exceptional care, and support to Mom and the family during her stay with them.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. In accordance with Edna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to Foyer Richelieu would be greatly appreciated by the family. Edna will be dearly missed but will live on forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
