Passed away at St. Luke’s Home for special care, St. John’s on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, Edith “Alma” Wiseman of Burgoynes Cove, age 79 years (11 days short of her 80th birthday). Predeceased by her husband Archibald; parents James and Edith Phillips; sisters Hilda, Louie and Emily; brothers Robert and Thomas; grandchildren Morgan, Devon and Stephanie; sons-in-law John Moulaison and Robert Fournier. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Louise Wiseman (Earl Mosher) of Sackville, NS, Wanda Fournier of Meteghan, NS, Derrick Wiseman (Laurel), Beaverbank, NS, Darrell Wiseman (Pearl) of Clarenville, NL, Amanda Hiscock (Cory), of Burgoynes Cove and Darren Wiseman (Joanna), Burgoynes Cove; grandchildren Kristina (Doug), Michelle, Mary (Peter), David (Lisa), Neil (Jane), Renee, Rebecca (Brian), Dylan (Patricia), William and Ava; 17 great grandchildren; sisters Dorcas Penney, Burgoynes Cove and Gladys Companion, Ontario; brother Cecil (Betty), Fort MacMurray, AB; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Burgoynes Cove. Visitation on Wednesday, May 15 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, May 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Burgoynes Cove with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Burgoynes Cove. In her memory flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Luke’s for the excellent care Mom received during her stay. For your compassion and care we will forever be grateful.
