Earl Joseph Radey died peacefully, with his best friend at his bedside, on November 6, 2023. He was 87 years old.
Earl is predeceased by his mother, Velma Bean Radey, father, William Dominique Radey, brother, Gerry, and sister, Joan (Ron Lavigne). He was loved by many nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his best friend Linda Liikanen and her son, Pierre Menard.
Friends of Bill W. will mourn the loss of his presence in the fellowship. For over five decades, Earl served his community with his humble and unique disposition. He expressed his simple principles with an eloquent speech like no other.
In 2018, at age 82, Earl experienced a sudden vision loss. He accepted the challenges and obstacles with trudging perseverance. He had no difficulty asserting how he wanted to continue to enjoy his life. Earl was always willing to share his insights, wisdom, and experience with his caregivers.
He loved his ‘‘poutine’’ and ‘‘apple fritters’’.
An arrangement for cremation has been entrusted to Cooperative Funeral Home. No visitation will occur as per Earl’s wishes. Burial will take place on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at St.Stanislaus Cemetery in Lively.
Friends of Bill W. are welcome to join in Earl’s final reunion at the cemetery with his precious brother, Gerry.
Special thank you for the excellent care from all disciplines involved at Park Place Home Area at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury. An extra special note of gratitude goes out to Ginette for the ‘‘above and beyond’’ care that she provided to Earl over the years.
