Bauman, Earl M.
Peacefully passed away into the presence of his Lord Jesus on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband for 66 wonderful years of Betty (Snyder) Bauman (2021).
Devoted father of Dwight and Linda Bauman of Seguin, Linda and Jim Swartzentruber of St. Jacobs, Karen and Dave Valenta of St. Jacobs, Wayne and Sue Bauman of Elmira, Marilyn and Jim Giles of Kitchener, Kathy and Ron Legrow of Kitchener. Also lovingly remembered by his 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Brother of Verna Gingrich of Parry Sound.
Predeceased by his parents Henry and Nancy (Martin) Bauman, grandson Tyler Valenta, one sister and four brothers.
Earl and Betty started married life on a farm just north of Floradale and farmed for 11 years before working at Floradale Feed Mill for the rest of his working career. Through the years, he and Betty loved travelling and fellowshipping with friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, regularly hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors like bird watching.
Earl was a faithful church member all his life, having been involved in missions and Sunday school superintendent. He loved gospel music, puzzles, word searches, and going to Bingo to win small chocolate bars to give to his great-grandchildren. Earl had an unwavering faith in God, read his bible and prayed for his family daily.
There will be no funeral home visitation. A private family service will be held with interment in Elmira Union Cemetery with Pastor Paul Westerholm officiating. In Earl’s memory, donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation or Elmira Evangelical Missionary Church, Mission Fund would be appreciated and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
