It is with great sadness that the family of Dwight Edward Mossman, 69, of Riverport, announce his passing on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Lunenburg, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Freda (Knock) Mossman.
Dwight was employed as an Electronics Technician, working for many years for the Ocean Drilling Program onboard the D/V JOIDES Resolution. In his time on land, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cheering for the Leafs, and spending time outdoors with his springer spaniels.
Dwight is survived by his daughter; Zoey, Charlottetown, PEI; son, Jason (Lina Yang), Chester Basin; sister, Darlene (Mike) Murray, Elgin, ON; niece, Becky Murray; nephew Scott Audian.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Sheila, Diane, and his dog Jake.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. In keeping with Dwight’s wishes there is to be no memorial service.
There will be an informal gathering at Dwight’s home in Riverport on Thursday, December 1st from 3-7 pm. A second gathering will be hosted at his camp in East Dalhousie on Saturday, December 3rd from 12-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Lunenburg Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
