Dr. Lynton Stephen Bon
passed away peacefully in his home in Arthur, surrounded by his loving family, on March 10th, 2024 in his 86th year.
Soulmate and best friend of Janet, loving and proud father of Ray (Tomi) Bon of Victoria, B.C., Dr. Trevor (Catharine) Bon of Thunder Bay and Yvette (Waqar Bakhsh) Bon of Fergus. Cherished Gramps / Pa of Katy Bon (Johannes), Emma Bon; Ashante Bon, Alexander Bon; and Dani Bakhsh and Remi Bakhsh.
Brother of Alma Narinsingh, Thora Taylor, Mary (Carl) Richards, and Janet Bon. Brother-in-law of Kennie Lendor. Predeceased by his parents Ethelbert ‘Charlie’ and Estephanie ‘Fanny’ (nee Guppy) Bon, his sisters Veta (Carleton) Delandro, Esme Bon, Claudette Lendor, and brother Patrick Bon, brothers-in-law Oudit Narinsingh and Patrick Taylor. Lovingly remembered by Jim Ritchie of Guelph, Paul (Tammy) Ritchie of Mono, Brett (Stephanie) Ritchie of Mono, Nick (Erica) Ritchie of Toronto, Marguerite Bon of Fergus, and Sharon Bon of Thunder Bay. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lynton practiced medicine in Arthur for 43 years. He loved his family, spending time on Georgian Bay, fishing at the cottage, and attending sporting events. He greeted everyone with a huge smile. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. He always said the best decision he ever made was coming to Arthur!
To honour Lynton’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Lynton’s life will be held on Saturday, March 30th , 2024 at the Arthur and Area Community Centre, 158 Domville Street, from 1:30 pm. to 5:00 p.m. with words of remembrance at 3:00 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Arthur Lions Club would be appreciated by the family. Lynton was a proud member of the Lions Club for 50 plus years.
