Obituary of Doug Walker
It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Patrick Walker announce his passing which occurred on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his home in Kingston, NB. Born in Saint John, NB on March 20, 1942, he was the son of the late Douglas Ernest and Rita Mary (Gosline) Walker.
Doug is survived by his loving companion Dawn Rideout; children: Brian Walker, Ann Walker and John Walker; brother Paul Walker; sisters Pamela Doyle (Frank) and Patricia Arsenault (Paul); as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Doug was predeceased by his son Barry Walker, and brother James Walker.
Doug worked at NB Telephone Company, Saint John dry dock and Irving Oil Refinery in the marketing department. He loved his children, grandchildren and his companion Dawn. In his younger years, Doug enjoyed sports, photography and boating during the Summer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB and will be held privately. Donations in memory of Doug may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
