Douglas Lewis Franklin passed away on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by his parents Lewis and Della Franklin and sister Lucille Brown (Jacob). Survived by his nieces and nephews Foster Brown (Joyce), Deanna Mudford (Don), great nieces and nephews Fraser Brown, Amber (Faith) Brown, Stephen Mudford, Scott (Shari) Mudford, Charlene Mudford and great great nieces and nephews Julien Triska, Lucia Triska and Clinton Mudford. Doug was an accountant at Dean Russell Drugstore in London. Doug was an active member of St. Paul’s United Church in Tillsonburg. He will be remembered for his love of Needle Point, his enjoyment of golf and cooking. Doug will also be missed by his friends at Boston Pizza. At the request of Doug, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Memorial donations if you wish may be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Tillsonburg and VON-Sakura House, Woodstock and can be done online with the charity directly or by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home (519) 842-5221.
