Peacefully passed away at home with his family by his side on Friday July 7, 2023, Doug Wood of St. Williams in his 79th year.
Beloved husband of Judy (Brown) Wood who were married on November 12, 1966. Dear father of Richard & wife Melissa Wood of Port Rowan, Julie & husband Brad Thomson of Turkey Point. Cherished grandpa of Kayla, Nicki & Brandon, Aubrey and Grant.
Survived by his sister Bonnie Wood of Delhi, and by his sister-in-law Gaynor Wood of Langton. Fondly remembered by the Brown Family and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Alfred (Sam) & Mary Wood, by his brother Ross and by his father and mother-in-law Gil & Wanda Brown.
Doug loved spending time with his grandchildren and tinkering around in the workshop. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his time at the Turkey Point Marina.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Street, Port Rowan on Tuesday July 11, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. A Public Graveside Service will take place at Newkirk Cemetery, 4137 Lakeshore Road, St. Williams on Wednesday July 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
