It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Dorothy Molloy of Jean de Baie announces her passing. Dorothy passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, at the age of 94.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her son, Brian Molloy (Denise) of Marystown; daughter, Jeanette Hanrahan (Aloysius) of Pictou, NS; daughter-in-law, Joan Molloy of Medicine Hat, AB; grandchildren, Samantha, Kerri Dawn (Craig), Kyle, Kayla, Justin, Mark and Kora (Ed); great-grandchildren, Kainian, Teegan, Abigail, Reese and Chase; sisters, Rose Hannam of Jean de Baie, Lenora Harding (Kevin) of St. John’s and Philomena Hackett of Benoit’s Cove; brother-in-law, Pius Young of St. George’s; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Paul Molloy; son, Kevin Molloy; baby, Paul Molloy; sisters, Rita Barry, Helen Fitzpatrick, Jenny McCarthy, Mary White, Katie White and Stella Young; and brothers, Patrick O’Keefe and Jerome O’Keefe.
The Molloy Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on
Saturday, February 18th
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Sunday, February 19th
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on a date and time to be announced.
Interment to follow at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Cemetery, Jean de Baie.
In Dorothy’s memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Molloy Family to be given to local charities of their choice.
