Geisel, Dorothy Eleanor (nee Hartwick)
Passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 94 years. Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband of 71 years, Harold Geisel (2022). Loved dearly by her three girls Judy Becht (Michael Phippen), Janet (Ian) Good, and Karen (Graeme) Horn.
Dearly loved by her grandchildren Michelle, Anne, Brandon, Adam, Ashley, and Michael. Adored by great-grandchildren Grace; Ronnie, Eric, Kate; Evan, Spencer; James, Nia; Harper, and Wesley. Will be missed by her sister Eileen Hanna.
Predeceased by her parents Gustave and Myrtle (McLellan) Hartwick, sister Lois Scroggie, and brother Lloyd.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 1- 4 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024 at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, 1407 King St. N., St. Jacobs, at 1 p.m. with visiting an hour prior to service. Reception to follow the service. A private family interment will take place.
Memorial donations to House of Friendship or Raising the Roof, would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
