We, the family of Dorothy Marie Joyce Wall, are saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Hospice Cape Breton, Sydney, NS surrounded by family.
Born January 25, 1935, in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Adelia (Alexander) Brenton.
Dorothy worked at MT&T in Sydney for 35 years.
Dot is survived by her sons, Robert (Kathy), Eganville, ON, Paul (Carol), Sydney and David (Joan), New Glasgow; grandchildren, Christina (Brent), Robbie (Tiffany), Stephen (Jill), Andrew (Terrilynn) and Logan(Hilary), great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Kayla, Cody, Ella and Eli; sister, Joan Penny, Eganville, ON; and brother, Gordon, New Glasgow.
In addition to her parents, Dot was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Wall; sister, Edith Wall; and brother, Charlie in infancy.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Cape Regional Hospital, Unit 4A and Hospice Cape Breton for their compassion and dedicated care.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9th from 10-11 a.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Rankin officiating. Interment, for family only, will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County.
